1965 - 1998 COMPLETE Uncirculated Washington Quarter 64 Coin Set with 63 regular P&D Mint Business Strike Uncirculated issues and one "S" 1976 Bicentennial Silver Quarter. Up for sale is a 1965 - 1998 Washington Quarter 64 Coin COMPLETE Uncirculated Business Strike Set (over the years 1965 - 1998) which includes all regular business strike quarters from 1965 through 1998 plus the 1976 "S" 40% silver special bicentennial uncirculated coin. The set comes mounted in two new Whitman folders. The coins in this set represent ALL of the business strike coins from 1965 when clad coinage began to 1998 when the "regular" Washington quarter design ended making way for the first of the series of quarters with different reverses (the State Quarters - 1999 - 2009 followed by the National Park Quarters from 2010 - 2021) Most of the coins in this set have all been sourced directly from US Mint sets (there were not mint sets in some years like 1982 and 1983 so not ALL of the coins are from mint sets). Many collectors such as myself believe that mint set coins like used in this set are generally superior in quality to uncirculated roll coins.
The 1976 "S" 40% special issue uncirculated coin issued for the bicentennial is also directly taken from a mint set and was undisturbed for over 4 decades before being put in the folder for this set. This is a nice set of Washington Quarters for a very reasonable price.
