1990 - 2020 Jefferson Nickel COMPLETE 101 Coin "PDS" Set INCLUDING PDS Special 2004 Designs (Keelboat & Peace Medal), PDS Special 2005 Designs (Bison and Western Waters) + the 2017 Special Release Enhanced Uncirculated & 2018 Special Release Reverse Proof. Up for sale is a complete Philadelphia, Denver & San Francisco Mint 1990 - 2020 Jefferson Nickel set which includes all of the regular, proof and special release "S" Jefferson Nickels. This set includes ALL of the regular business strike and proof Jefferson Nickels released to date starting from the year 1990.

Besides the regular strike Philadelphia/Denver coins and the regular "S" proofs this set also contains the 2017 Enhanced "S" Uncirculated Coin + the 2018 "S" Reverse Proof. These 101 Jefferson Nickels represent a complete 2000 - 2020 "PDS" set. The only Jefferson Nickels NOT in this set from 1990 through 2019 are the 12 "satin" finish coins (2005 through 2010 both P&D) that were released only in the US mint sets from 2005 through 2010. There are numerous interesting coins in this set. During the first decade of this new millenium the venerable nickel, largely unchanged since its introduction in 1938, saw numerous design changes.

1 First, in 2004 and 2005 the mint produced Lewis & Clark "Westward Journey" special nickels to include the 2004 "Keelboat" and "Peace Medal" commemorative designs and the 2005 "Bison" and "Western Waters" designs. With the changes in 2004 and 2005 the mint also changed the obverse depiction of Jefferson for the first time since 1938. In 2006 a third obverse depiction of Jefferson was used and has been utilized to the present. 3 In 2009, because of the recession, the number of "minor"coinage such as Jefferson Nickels were limited.

Therefore the 2009 P & D coins in uncirculated condition are relatively scarce. 4 The 96 regular PDS mint coins in this set showcase all of those changes and represents all of the PDS regular mintage Jefferson nickels released since the year 2000 to date i. Does not include the "satin coins" from 2005 through 2010. In addition this set contains the 2 San Francisco Mint Nickels which were included in the special release sets in 2017 and 2018 which includes a 2017 "S" Enhanced Uncirculated Coin and a 2018 "S" Reverse Proof Coin.

The 2017 enhanced uncirculated mintage was limited to 225,000 and the 2018 reverse proof mintage was limited to 200,000. The coins have all been sourced directly from rolls, mint sets or proof sets. I carefully take the proofs directly from the original mint packaging with gloves. This is a nice set of Jefferson Nickels for a very reasonable price.
