Eisenhower Complete Set with Choice/Gem Proofs in Dansco Album BEST for PRICE
I trust that the reader will compare this present set, with its images and descriptions, to its competitors. Most listings offer whole-page photos only that leave one guessing as to quality. In the images I've uploaded, I'll be showing off some individual coins, as well. What I'm offering is a solid. Set of BU business strikes with some sweethearts among the S strikes. The proofs (both clad and silver) are the true heroes of the album, showing surprisingly little fog in their fields (the bane of most ungraded proofs in most other Ike sets). This set, which I built from scratch, is a decade old (maybe older). As I look back over its pages, I note some colorful rim-toning on the'72-D and'74-D reverse. The'74-S silver business strike is developing a handsome blue/peach album toning. It's a gem to my hobbyist eye, as is the'76-S strike.
Among the clad proofs, the'73-S and'77-S are CAM/DCAM while the'78-S is a strong DCAM--easily a gem in my book. The silver proofs are all CAM/DCAM; of these, the'76-S is finest. But why not spend a few bucks more for a "choice" set with a few gems thrown in to boot?
I'll provide more photos of specific coins if requested. I welcome queries from fellow Ike aficionados.
