Susan B Anthony complete date and mint set. The Susan Brownell Anthony was an American pioneer of woman's rights. Anthony helped found the American equal rights Association to work for women's suffrage.

For the remainder of her life, she was devoted to the cause, and became a recognized leader of the movement. In 1872 she was arrested for attempting to vote, insisting that the 14th and 15th amendments applied to all citizens, male and female.

The Susan B Anthony dollar was intended to honor this pioneer of women's rights. It was the first United States circulation coin to depict a woman other than a mythical figure. It was produced by the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco mints from 1979 to 1981, a limited lifespan for a US coin. Despite its unpopularity in circulation, the Susan B Anthony has become a sought out after collectible.
